What they do
Their platform searches for new elemental compositions for novel, advanced materials, designed for the net-zero transition, with improved performance and lower environmental cost. By using rapid automated processes and advanced quantum calculations to model properties of new material compositions, they can bypass slow conventional experimental approaches and accelerate discovery from decades to months by reducing the number of physical experiments which are conducted. Materials Nexus work with partners to produce new materials that can be patented. The ultimate benefit is that the costs associated with the R&D process are lower meaning that new and more sustainable materials can be pushed to market more quickly and cheaply.
