What they do
This allows partners in sport and entertainment to hold live concerts and sporting events inside any game, VR or AR application created using Unity or Unreal Engine. In December 2022 condense and BBC radio did a world first live radio broadcast into the metaverse during Jack Saunders’ show.
Product & technology
Condense takes live events and extracts humans and objects. They then encode the volumetric outline and surfaces. After optimising the model they transcode to allow rendering using Unity or Unreal gaming engines in virtual environments. The company offers an end to end solution from ‘glass to glass’. Enables huge new market for rights holders and offers new content draw for virtual world providers with new monetisation opportunities.

Why we invested
- →Social gaming has seen dramatic growth during the pandemic
- →We have started to see live events streamed into gaming platforms but this has been done with synthetic characters with 10s of million joining these events
- →We predict that real world events shown in virtual environments will be a very large and growing market and Condense has the potential to enable this opportunity
