What they do

The proprietary technology represents the ground-breaking discovery of the world's first synthetic, molecular, auxetic, Liquid Crystal Elastomers (LCE). Unlike conventional materials our polymers thicken when stressed or strained representing a completely new class of elastomeric materials.

Product & technology

Auxetec Polymers are produced using commercially available and registered raw materials in a simple process. Our materials have a negative 'Poisson's' ratio at the molecular level. The point at which our materials thicken is fully tuneable to stress and strain conditions and therefore can be tailored to provide desirable material properties.

Why we invested

  • Interesting and very strong tech on the molecular level with various strategic applications
  • Made good progress with customers
