Product & technology
Instead of using refrigerant gases with high global warming potential, their technology uses solid barocaloric refrigerants. As they are solids, the barocaloric refrigerants have zero global warming potential, are more energy efficient than fluid refrigerants, safer, and easier to recycle at the end of a product’s lifetime.

- →The founder has pioneered barocaloric materials, whose performance could reach a COP of 8-9. This would be game changer in efficiency as well as moving away from CFCs for cooling.
- →Barocal won the initial award of the Global Cooling Price1 , being the only finalist developing a technology free of gases.
